Gah!

I've been pulled over a time or two myself. Once after work (on campus at Utah State University) I was driving to the local post office to check our mail (because our mailbox had been bashed in by vandals--what the hell?), and I figured I was going 10 miles under the speed limit: I was going 30 in a 40mph zone. But then I saw those flashing lights...coming from a MOTORCYCLE COP. Right in my neighborhood. Turns out, I was actually going 10 miles OVER, as I was in a school zone. I had a clean record, but when I handed the officer my license and registration, I started to cry (I couldn't stop myself!). I wasn't ticketed (good thing; speeding in a school zone is super expensive, I hear), but I was sent to Traffic School, or whatever it is they call it...a 3 hour class that reviewed the driving laws of the land. It cost me $75, plus 3 hours of my life I'd never get back...

Yeah.
